The Acorn Center
ATTENTION: Acorn Center now supports Ladies of the Lake! When buying tickets for shows at the Acorn Center, a box will pop up that says “Ladyslake.” Simply put the number of tickets you wish in the box, and Ladies of the Lake will receive a $5 donation for each ticket. This will help Ladies of the Lake Cancer support team as we help cancer patients in our communities!

20th Annual Holiday Home Tour
The Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team is pleased to announce the
20th Annual Holiday Home Tour
This year’s Holiday Home Tour will be held on December 6, 2024 from 10 to 4. The generous owners of the participating homes will open their doors for another fun and exciting home tour. Tickets ($25) will be available starting the beginning of November at local businesses, Lake Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce, and through LOL members.
Ladies of the Lake Nancy Wehrman fundraiser Bunco event shatters previous record
The Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team would like to thank everyone who made the Bunco fundraiser for Nancy Wehrman such a success!

All of the proceeds raised during The Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team's Tuesday, Sept. 2 BUNCO Night at Lakeside Lutheran Church will benefit Nancy Wehrman, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in January.
Nancy is a well-known and active member of the Lake Gaston community. She's a long-time member of the Lake Gaston Ladies Club, Gastonettes, Fabulous Flying Aqua Babes, Littleton chapter of the P.E.O., and a singer in the Annual Lake Gaston Singers for the Christmas Cantata.
Donations to ECU North Hospital and VCU Hendrix Center
It is with great pleasure that Ladies of the Lake were able to make donations to both ECU North Hospital, in Roanoke Rapids NC and to VCU Hendrix Center is South Hill VA.
Lades of the Lake Cancer Support Team 4th Annual Yard Sale
Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team would like to once again express our gratitude to the Lake Gaston Community for the support that they continually give us for all our fund raisers. We are so overwhelmed by the amount of donations we have received throughout the year.
People were lined up to get into the yard sale at 7:30 Saturday morning.
The old saying “One mans trash is another mans treasure” proved itself at the end of the day by making this our biggest and best yard sale so far.
Ladies of the Lake is a dedicated team of 22 ladies who love what they are dong helping Cancer patients in the 5 surrounding counties of beautiful Lake Gaston, and could not do what they do without this great community.
Other fund raising events include Bunco on the 1st Tuesday of every month, except December and January, at Lakeside Lutheran Church at 7:00 PM. Our annual spaghetti dinner in May, the yard sale the 2nd Saturday of June, and our biggest event of each year, our annual Holiday Home Tour held the 1st Saturday in December. It will be held December 6, 2025. Wait for details coming soon.

Summary Contribution Disbursements in 2024
LOL Cancer Support Team made contributions to two local foundations: Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in South Hill, Virginia and the Halifax Regional Foundation in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Both of these foundations help with cancer research and specialize in cancer treatment for patients
And, contributions were made across thirteen families who have cancer patients needing direct financial support.We thank our community for your outstanding continued support.
