3rd Annual Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser tickets are on sale
The Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team’s Third Annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 14. It will be held at the Lake Gaston Lion's Club at 139 Stanley Road, Henrico, North Carolina. Robin Crabel of The Kitchen Table in Gasburg will prepare the food for the spaghetti dinner.

Warming temperatures have Bunco Night heating up at Lakeside Lutheran
Shortly after 7 p.m., the sounds of dice clattering on the six tables filled the room, followed by a voice yelling “Bunco.” The voice belonged to Kay Powell, who tossed the Bunco roll and was brought a large fuzzy die to hold until another player perfected a Bunco toss; hence, the die moved to such player.
Lake Gaston Lions Club
This check for $1000.00 was presented to LOL, Kathy Everhart and Suzie Goertemiller by the Lion’s Club to help towards cancer patients around Lake Gaston.
Summary Contribution Disbursements in 2024
LOL Cancer Support Team made contributions to two local foundations: Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in South Hill, Virginia and the Halifax Regional Foundation in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Both of these foundations help with cancer research and specialize in cancer treatment for patients
And, contributions were made across thirteen families who have cancer patients needing direct financial support.We thank our community for your outstanding continued support.
