March 3 Bunco to Benefit Paul Shoemaker
The proceeds from the Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team’s March 3 Bunco Night at Lakeside Lutheran Church will benefit cancer patient Paul Shoemaker. The Lake Gaston resident is battling Acute myelogenous leukemia, a cancer impacting the production of white blood cells and bone marrow.
Bunco is a fast-moving, easy-to-learn dice game. The LOL Cancer Support Team hosts the event at 7 p.m. at Lakeside Lutheran Church, 2427 Eaton Ferry Road, Littleton, North Carolina.
LOL Bunco costs $10 to play, and snacks are provided for the players. BUNCO Night is an event of good times, fellowship, door prizes, and a shot to win the 50/50 drawing. More importantly, BUNCO Night proceeds all go toward a worthy cause. The March 3 Bunco proceeds will benefit Paul Shoemaker as he shifts to the recovery phase from AML.
Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
Ladies of the Lake Cancer Support Team will be hosting its annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on April 22 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.
Donations to ECU North Hospital and VCU Hendrix Center
It is with great pleasure that Ladies of the Lake were able to make donations to both ECU North Hospital, in Roanoke Rapids NC and to VCU Hendrix Center is South Hill VA.
Summary Contribution Disbursements in 2024
LOL Cancer Support Team made contributions to two local foundations: Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in South Hill, Virginia and the Halifax Regional Foundation in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Both of these foundations help with cancer research and specialize in cancer treatment for patients
And, contributions were made across thirteen families who have cancer patients needing direct financial support.We thank our community for your outstanding continued support.
